We are looking for a passionate individual who will be an all round growth marketing expert with a track record of innovation and execution in a scale-up environment. We have ample data, content and budget at our disposal which will serve as ammunition for this person to find ways to grow the business. The Head of Growth will work across all parts of the funnel: finding new and efficient avenues for acquisition, while also running experiments to improve customer on-boarding and retention. The Head of Growth will also help grow new revenue streams and help devise the go to market strategy for new products and features.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • You’ll drive growth (at determined economics) by finding new avenues of efficient acquisition (paid, organic, and referral). This will be done through testing new channels, assessing their scalability, and subsequently growing them
  • You’ll work with product, marketing and engineering teams to define, scope and execute tests that drive user growth
  • You will push to ensure the maximum number of people that land on our pages can be served by managing and improving on-page conversion in collaboration with the product teams
  • You’ll help improve the LTV of existing users through optimising the funnel. You will do so by improving activation and retention. You will devise a series of experiments to activate, cross-sell, up-sell and retain users on both sides of the marketplace
  • You’ll help build cross channel measurement frameworks to identify the optimal deployment of marketing budget on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • You’ll use available data to formulate big bets for the business and new revenue growth opportunities for the business
  • You’ll help scale marketing channels to the next level by working with product teams to build the necessary automation tools across channel

Key Outcomes

  • 5% Month to Month growth through all channels
  • Maintain consistent unit economics while growing
  • Maintain experimental log, populated with high-quality experiments & clear takeaways
  • Build & optimise an omnichannel content marketing engine
  • Test and establish a new digital channel: at least one new channel in the marketing stack bringing in 10% new customers by Q4 2022
  • Full marketing pod and rhythms established
  • Run multiple Pro acquisition campaigns

Key Competencies

  • Digital Marketing experience- Proven experience in managing and implementing marketing activities through research, strategic planning, implementation and reporting
  • Budget management – Proven experience with cross channel measurement and budget optimisation
  • Results obsessed – Extremely driven to achieve outcomes
  • Highly organised – On top of the (multiple) moving parts and provides clarity and direction to colleagues and partners
  • Highly self-motivated – Excited to take full ownership for results and its appropriate means
  • Comfortable with complex data sets/technology – Can understand nuances of running multiple experiments across multiple categories enough to have meaningful conversations with technical partners
  • Curious/Creative – Enjoys actively looking for new or interesting ways to do things and is not afraid to try them out
  • Team Player – Ability to build trusted relationships across marketing teams, managing expectations and pushing back on unrealistic requests
  • Good Communicator – excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing or growth activities
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with product, other marketing functions, and sales teams
  • Thorough understanding of ad-tech – Bidding automation, attribution, tracking, etc
  • Comfortable to perform directed, actionable data analysis within excel

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience with marketplace models
  • Ability to query and build a story around data (using SQL)
  • Past experience building content marketing engine across multiple channels
