Description  We hired Hilton to run a gas line

Feedback  We needed to replace a gas line with a thicker line, Hilton came to site and we showed him the job that needs to be done, we asked him to please use the same line that was used before. Hilton sent us the quote which we accepted and 80% deposit was paid (R7000). Hilton came to site and we were not happy with the pipe he had bought, so he said he can go back to his suppliers and get the correct line. He sent us pictures of pipes which looked like he was in a hardware store. I sent him the location to a place that sells the gas lines previously used, which he didn't use, so after a week of back and forth we decided that he was not right for the job. We asked if he could return the things he bought and give us the money back, which he then said the place will not give the money back because he took the products out the packaging, which is BS because piping does not come in packaging, SO asked him if we can least get store credit, and that's the last I heard from him, he has been ghosting me for the last 2 weeks.

Description  Hilton never came to view the stove on 14 February 2023. I waited the whole day and then he eventually sent me a message on Whatsapp with the installation certificate so that I can return the stove. I returned the stove to Game, reached out to Hilton to recommend what stove I should buy and then purchased it. It was delivered yesterday (2 March 2023). He eventually showed up on Saturday at around 1pm, did the installation then demanded I pay an extra R650 for the gas pump (bear in mind he bought the gas cylinder and he recommended the gas stove). I refused to pay then he started threatening me and saying he will not leave without at least half of the money so I succumbed. The gas pump is R100 at Builders warehouse and the Brights' Hardware store. He overcharged me on purpose because I am a lone woman and continuously ignores my messages or threatens me. Hilton has not completed the job yet because he still refuses to send me the certificate of installation even though he came to connect the stove on Saturday (dude just showed up at my home). Hilton is not an electrician. He installed the gas stove on Saturday yet today the cable exploded. I had an electrician come through today to have a look at the stove and he advised that Hilton having cuthis extension cable with a 1.5mm cable and connected it to the stove instead of using the 4mm cable that is connected to the stove isolator was the cause. The electrician advised that the cable he installed is too thin and thats why it ended up burning and it could have possibly exploded since there is gas. We called Hilton to find out why he did not use the 4mm cable that was already pre-connected to the stove isolator and he advised that he is not an electrician and had just tried connecting it to see if it would work. He made it clear that he is not an electrician but was just trying his luck to see if it would work. Now the electrician had to now complete the installation of the stove because the person you people are advertising is misrepresenting himself online.

He did however insist that I pay him the full amount for the job (R1500 for the gas installation + R850 for the 9kg gas cylinder and gas = R2350) even though he did not complete it. He advised that he would come complete the installation once the stove is fixed. I have not received a certificate of installation for the gas stove installation but he did issue me with a damage report which I gave to the store who I bought the stove from. Hopefully he is honest and will complete the job once the stove situation has been sorted or refund the money for labour if the manufacturer completes the installation). I attached the conversation on whatsapp, the proof of payment, the damage report that he sent me and the one I edited on my laptop seeing as he had misspelled my name and address game stores logged a ticket with Defy and sent technicians over. The technicians from Defy came to have a look at the stove and advised that the stove is a fully gas stove, meaning that it will need a lighter to switch on. If it was a partial gas stove then it would have a cord for the plug which creates the spark. They advised that Hilton as a certified gas installer should have known that information and that there is nothing wrong with the stove itself so there is nothing that they can do about it. They also advised that in order for me to be able to return the stove I would need to get the certificate of installation otherwise the warranty will be voided. I advised Hilton of this and he insists that he come have a look at the stove itself tomorrow instead of just giving the certificate so that I can return it. Description  He was suppose to route my wifi from my main house to my seperate enterance in the yard, firstly Hilton was not great with communicating, the first day we were suppose to meet, he kept telling me he will be there this time and that time, the whole day and never pitched, I called him a few times, eventually he said the next day at 10h00 and only rocked up after 12h00, again no communication, which was extremely frustrating. we supplied him with the wire and 4 clips, which he damaged, hubby ended up having to show him what to do, how to insert it the proper way. He then left at about 3 or after to go buy clips, never returned that was the Friday on Tuesday the following week, he sends me message asking me if we got sorted and we must pay him for the work, so we agreed on R550 initially, but as we had to get someone else out to come and finish his work, it costed us money, so i only gave him R350 for bringing the wire, as the job was not done
