Feedback  Garrick von Graevenitz is a lying no good fraudster. He skims, dilutes paints, doesn't plaster, just covers up areas and asks for more money. This fraudster will tell you half way through the job that he's had an accident and needs surgery then he's wife is ill then he died and will tend to his shoddy work when he's back to life... DO NOT USE GARRICK VON GRAEVENITZ FOR ANY WORK. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY. He also only employs undocumented foreigners (which was an issue for me). He'll start really fast then ask for money for materials. He will not give you any receipts or invoices. Beware of this thief.

Feedback  Garrick is a con artist. Uses illegal foreign labour and once runs off after shoddy shoddy workmanship. Do NOT give him the opportunity to steal your money. He claimed to have had accidents then he's wife falls ill then he has to go for ops... This man is a fraud and a con.

Description  Gary was meant to replace my pool, redo my patio area and my drive way.

Feedback  Gary came in and told us that he was registered with the Nhbrc and had the relevant expertise - these don't exist. We were promised the project would take 6 weeks. It is now 3 months and nothing was completed. Gary is extremely dishonest, lieng about medical procedures and forgetting to keep up the lie a few days later, then inventing hospital admissions but sends images of a home blood pressure machine. Gary parades around under the supposed company of Turnkey renovations. This company is not registered - it doesn't exist. He used to parade under the name of "Home Rescuers" , when the reviews of that got out of hand, he changed brands to Turnkey Renovations. In short, we were defrauded out of our money, under the pretence of professional service. The service was nothing like that at all. At some point when he realized that he can milk us some more, he sent a bill of +/- R40 000.00 for "extras" he allegedly did that were never agreed to, nor were they part of the contract. We were told that he will not return to site unless we pay him the extra R40 000.00. Now, we have a criminally shoddy staircase (that is collapsing), an incomplete pool, and and incomplete driveway. everything Gary was meant to do was not done after hundreds of thousands later. Avoid this train wreck, unless you want to spend the next year involved in litigation.

Cost  Too much, he wasn't even worth quarter of what he charged us.

Description  Redo brandering, fit ceiling and cornices, plastering, fit conduits, add doors, deck flooring for upstairs walkway, painting of offices and ceilings at industrial building site.

Feedback  Gary failed to be on site to manage his staff. Consistently made his issues ours. We were forced to manage his staff while still running our own company. We were also requested to identify issues with his work and let him know. He didn't QC any of his work. Documents of doors and fittings were given to him but his staff failed to put the correct locks in the doors and locations were incorrect. On the painting he was quick to identify the previous contractors short comings but he himself could not get the finish even 50% better. He was given a document for what paint goes where and he painted the incorrect colours on the walls. He was even unaware of requirements to complete the decking. I had to go on site and measure for him because he only comes on site for 2 hours if he even bothers coming. The only thing he got done to acceptable level is the ceiling. Excess usage on material as he was consistently redoing work. Eventually we kicked him off site and lost our money. He also still has material of ours that we paid him for.

Description  He added a kitchen and link it to existing flat

Feedback  Absolute shoddy work. Never on site. Lied about quality of products and processes. Treated staff extremely badly and forced them to take shortcuts. Very dangerous to the building industry. Does not own up to his mistakes and avoids clients afterwards.

Description  Home Rescuers have assisted me with renovations including removing and replacing tiles in thee garage and the house, replaced glass windows, repainted the house and replaced the shower and tiles in the bathroom.

Feedback  He is really good at what he does. He has done some many things for me at my house and I am always impressed with the good job he produces. He is reliable. I recommend him.
