Description  The job was to refurbish/ modernize a duplex. The main job was to renovate two full bathrooms and tile the entire unit , a garage conversion and breaking out a wall and an archway with some other stuff included.

Feedback  What a disaster. I contracted John for a renovation which included a total renovation of my two bathrooms, removing the flooring and tiling the entire duplex , a garage conversion and a few other building items like breaking through a wall and breaking down the staircase wall. I totally regret the decision . wrt to BASIC BUILDING, breaking down and build , his team is OK BUT they have to be strongly managed. They arrive on site with a crowd of guys and it's total chaos. They damaged and broke so many things that the cost to repair and replace put me out of budget. Pls stay away from him doing your tiling and bathroom renovations. Such a disaster. The tiling was so poor, the tiler used double the recommended cement and supplies and the job was so bad I had to ask him to stop and leave mid-job. The lack of skill was evident when it came to tiling the stairway and corners , ect. The levelling of the tiles is unbelievable , the grouting even worse but John and team insisted and pretended there was nothing wrong and I must not worry, but I had to make a decision and stop. The workmanship and quality is out right bad. The tiler was wasting the tiles and laying chipped tiles. I had to remove so many laid tiles to get it looking descent. They workers don't give a dam , they would mess and break and damage stuff and pretended to not understand English when you tried to speak to them . The site was a total mess , they don't clean and tidy at the end of each day. The bathrooms were a bigger nightmare. Their plumber connected both toilets to one outlet in a way that was going to cause issues later on. This was pointed out by the new tiler. I confronted John and his team and they gave every excuse under the sun as to why their plumber did that , but the best was because I asked for the plumber to connect the plumbing that way. That's when I decided to STOP the project and call it a day with JOMAC builders. I agreed to pay what is fair for the work they did. They harassed and threatened me for their money. John whom I was dealing with , kept his distance and allowed his team to harass me until I conceded and just paid then more to get them off my back with their threats. Pls be aware , be careful when using this company . You will end up paying more to have their work repaired. His original quote for labor was R55 000 which I accepted . At the end I paid him R30K .I agreed to pay him for the labor up to the point I decided to stop the job. I calculated it fairly but because his team where threatening me I conceded and paid a extra than what was due to them.

After the very 1st day it was clear that Jomac know what they were doing and I am more than happy with the work that they have done. I am definitely using their services again, and will highly recommend Jomac!!

Feedback  I was really happy with the last job that Jomac did for me .He converted a locker to an office and relocated a fire pit , they did filling and leveling where the new pipes will be going , they also did a small wall and did paving as well (25m) .He did a lot things for me and he brought professional people to different things .HE is a straight forward person and he keeps his promises.

When l called him to come to my house he said he had transport to come here .I did not have to buy the material he bought everything for me just paid him for everything .He did the job him self ,monitored him self and after doing the job they left the place clean l did not experience any problems with him.

Feedback  Jomac built a wall for me but his work is not impressive because a few months after he did the job for me the wall started cracking and has not came back to fix it. Am still waiting for him to come finish the mess he did.

Cost  I paid the bricklayer directly an agreed daily rate.

Description  He hired out one of his bricklayers for me to assist in completing my job.

Feedback  The bricklayer was good and fast with his job and displayed a good personality and commitment to the job.
