Description  Redone entire tiled roof painted, fixed gutters, patched and painted corrogated iron roof

Feedback  He has great attention to detail and his customer service is impeccable. Whatever he's done, if it's not fixed perfectly he will make sure he comes back and does not charge for it. One example is a particularly tricky joint that kept giving trouble due to external factors - even though it wasn't his fault, he would come back to fix it at no charge. He does gutters too - at a very reasonable with price - I was quoted R12k for one job and he managed to do it perfectly at a fraction of that price. He has worked for all my neighbours, family - I refer him to everyone I know.

Description  I've known him for 6 years, and he's done about half a dozen jobs for me. I had a flat pitched roof, which he lifted and replaced to improve of run off. He's also replaced gutters, done waterproofing, flat roof repair work, and ridging work (sealing waterproof membrane between ridges). He's also done finishing: matching paints and painting gutters.

Feedback  I trust him 100%, he is as trustworthy as they come. I’m a sickler for cleanliness, and wellington keeps the site clean – really looking after his stuff, and he doesn’t leave it lying around. I’ve been quoted by other bigger suppliers, with prices usually more than twice as large as Wellington’s. Wellington does often underquote though – only marginally, and he still is much, much cheaper. He also often takes longer than expected. I've seen him grow, starting with a konked out car. He's a decent guy, I really like him. He's a very straight, honest man. He won't take 1 more cent than is owed to him. He's hard working, and he gets involved himself on all his jobs. He never complains, and tries to take shortcuts. Sometimes giving him directives helps; he enjoys engagement and gives good advice. From a quality perspective, I haven't had any problems. On the odd occasion when I have gripes, he happily redoes things with no attitude. It’s been lovely to see his business grow over the years – he’s now much more organised: he gives itemised quotes, uses email, has upgraded his car, and demonstrates professionalism. If I ever need a job done, I’ll call Wellington any day of the week. I've recommended him to many people.

Cost  R4000

Description  He fixed a multitude of leaks, doing weatherproofing and sealing. He's worked on our tile roof at home, and on the tin roof at Fledgleling Pre-Primary.

Feedback  He really does know his stuff. Over the 4 years I've known him, he's been a good worker and a very nice chap. His prices are really reasonable. When I first used him, I had another big company quote R70000 vs his R4000, which was astonishing. He has an old-school mentality - he's very respectful and polite.

Description  He repaired my roof a few times

Feedback  He is very pleasant. We've worked with him a lot and referred him often. He offers great prices and is even good with animals. The quality of his work has been great, if we have problems he comes back and repairs it free of charge. He is exceptionally trustworthy.

Description  He's been working on my slate roof for years. He's fixed leaks, replaced ceilings and gutters, part of the roof itself. 5 years.

Feedback  He's never had to come back to do any work. I've recommended him to several to other people. In the past I used to get quotes from several different providers, and Wellington came tops. He comes in when he says he will, and does what he say's he'll do. So now, I don't even bother comparing anymore - I just use wellington. I would definitely recommend him.

Description  Damp proofing, roof tiling, at an old Cape Dutch house with a Terracotta roof. He's done a range of little jobs over 4 years.

Feedback  If he say's he'll be there, you can count on it. He's got that rare old school integrity. He's very pleasant, non invasive, he doesn't demand things, he is self sufficient - he's got his own tools and equipment, and he doesn't need supervision. He doesn't botch jobs, and does what he says he promises. Everything has worked out for us. For this reason, I've recommended him to friends before.
