Kandua is a mission-driven tech start up. Our vision is to make home job fulfilment simple, intuitive and equitable for service providers and the customers they serve.

Our flagship product, Kandua.com, is South Africa’s #1 online marketplace for home services. Every month, over 40 000 vetted home service pros have access to around R50 million worth of work opportunities from individual customers, and access to business customers through Kandua’s partnerships with leaders in insurance and retail.

The Kandua for Pros app puts a head office in the palm of every pro’s hand: send professional quotes and invoices, accept card and online payments, keep track of customer communication, and get visibility of business performance, all from a mobile phone, and all safely stored in the cloud.

Kandua is a wholly owned, independent subsidiary of Santam.

Arjun Khoosal

Arjun is a well-decorated informatician, obsessed with finding elegant solutions to real, really big problems. He’s a jack of all trades and a master of…more than one. He finished three majors in three years (maths, statistics, computer science) and took actuarial science during the first two. His subsequent masters in bioinformatics yielded promising research (cited over 2000 times) but was cut short when he dropped out to found Kandua, where he drives product and technology.

Sayo Folawiyo

Sayo is passionate about tech entrepreneurship on the African continent. He has extensive experience in the telecommunications, media and technology sector. With the soothing voice of a podcast host, he pushes the team and the strategy forward.
