With all the doom and gloom in the news at the moment, we decided to share our hacks for a brighter, happier home. |
Mirrors
Position mirrors opposite windows to reflect more natural light around the house. Another great hack – place a mirror at the end of a cramped hallway to make it appear more spacious.
Wallpaper
Choose a statement wall and install wallpaper. This is a great way to add a pop of colour, and some personality, to your home. Wallpaper also adds to the longevity and durability of your walls.
Declutter
Decluttering your home can have all kinds of positive benefits, from better sleep to improved memory and focus. Installing some savvy storage or shelving will do wonders for your home (and you).
Curtains
Ditch heavy window treatments in favour of lighter ones. Choose sheer, if possible, which will let in the most light while still maintaining your privacy.
Windows
This may seem like an obvious solution, but it’s one that is often overlooked. Cleaning the windows can make a noticeable improvement in the brightness of a room.
Trim Those Trees
Now that those windows are clean, it is time to trim those trees. While you don’t want to cut too far back, especially during the springtime, you do want to prune back any branches or leaves that are blocking the sun.
