Description  He attempted to fix my wine fridge over a 2 month period and it still doesn't work.

Feedback  My wine fridge stopped working. He told me it was the compressor that was the issue and it would cost R3500. So I paid him R3500 and he replaced the compressor, but the fridge still didn't work. Then he said it was a PC board that he needed to order and it would cost R1000. If I had known it would cost R4500 instead of R3500 I wouldn't have gone forward with the repairs but I had already spent R3500 so I paid another R1000. I wait weeks for the part to arrive, and when it does, this genius tells me that he ordered the wrong PC board (He ordered the one for the display, not the cooling system) so now we are sitting with a part that we never needed to begin with and that took weeks to arrive. Then he tells me it is the other PC board. SO he takes that out and the part the he ordered by mistake and leaves with them. Then he tells me that it has been discontinued so he will find out if it can be repaired. At this point, because he is no longer making any more money and this is dragging on because of HIS mistake, he stops replying to my messages or answering my phone calls. At this point he has R4500 of my money, the part I didn't need and my part that isn't working. I then have to threaten him with legal action just to get my old part back and when I ask him for the R1000 back for the part the he ordered by mistake, he has the audacity to tell me that it will cover his petrol trying to get the old part to get repaired. We never agreed on any amount for that old part to be repaired but he decided R1000 for “petrol” and getting the PC board “fixed” was a pretty sweet deal for him. THEN he tells me that I am a nuisance and that this is somehow my fault?? At this current moment I am now R4500 down, my old PC board is outside of my wine fridge and it does not even turn on. Avoid this conman at all costs. He will be seeing me in court as people like him need to face consequences for their actions. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME.
