Description  A portion of my patio awning collapsed in the recent hail storm. The polycarbonate came loose and also cracked. Christ replaced these pieces.

Feedback  Chris's son was ill on the appointed day, but we scheduled for the following day. I received a WhatsApp in the morning confirming that he would be coming and he arrived. He had two other men and they took off the old polycarbonate and put up the new pieces and drilled them into place. They worked efficiently and didn't need supervision. I was pleased with the result when the job was completed.

Description  He did a few repairs for me in Pretoria apartment. Then finaly when I paid him R3700 to go purchase a shower cubicle and go fit it in he gave me the run around for a year and stopped picking my calls.

Description  Advised and executed a kitchen facelift project i.e to replace and repair for our aging kitchen cupboards, - fitted new hinges all round, made 4 new doors, replaced rotten carcass, fitted new matching countertop holding the kitchen sink and stove top. Replaced hinges and painted bedroom cupboards.

Description  Hung a new kitchen door and painted.

Feedback  The door was well hung and works very well but the outcome wasn't as good as I expected as the paint job on the outside of the door is not good. It rained quite heavily when the enamel coat was applied and perhaps it should have been left for a dry day. My biggest concern is the mess that was left outside. Wood shavings are now all over the house having been blown in by wind and come in on human and animal feet. I would expect an artisan to bring plastic sheeting to work on and have a broom and a vacuum cleaner to clean up afterwards. A garden blower/vacuum cleaner would be perfect for the cleaning up job. I would have paid more to have been left with a clean work site with the old door and cutoffs taken offsite. I didn't notice the mess that was left until the next day when it was dry and I was stunned that any artisan would leave a work site in such a mess. My overall impression is of good artisan work spoilt by carelessness with respect to the final outcome.
