He did a wonderful job for us and we were happy with the service that we even want to give him and his team more work. He is very professional and i like that he manages his people well. They work very thoroughly and efficiently. They also work very neatly, they remove the rubble and tidy up the place when they are done with their work. His prices are not the cheapest on the market but his service is of good value. He goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. I can highly recommend recommend him to other people.

Home Renovation Advice
- Double-check references - Home renovations cost a lot of money so make sure you ask potential renovation companies for references so you can check their work and see what other people are saying about them. Kandua Pros have online reviews that you can read before you hire anyone.
- Get council permission - the city council has a lot of rule and regulations that need to be adhered to so before you start breaking ground or pick up a hammer, make sure you have the necessary building approvals for your home renovation.
- Communicate your ideas - to help make sure your home renovations look exactly the way you want, you need to do your research. Find inspiration and ideas online and communicate your ideas and visions effectively with your team.
- Assess your budget - when setting your renovation budget, be realistic about what you can afford to spend. Before you make any big decisions, make sure you get multiple quotes from renovators to help you stay on track and within your budget.
- Plan for the unplanned - when it comes to home renovations, there are always hidden costs and unexpected expenses waiting in the wings. Whether it be delays in the renovation, running out of materials or having to account for unforeseen problems like mould, permission problems etc.
- Create a timeline - before you start renovating, decide on a realistic timeline in which to complete the renovations. Itβs common knowledge that renovations take longer than anticipated so plan accordingly. When building the timeline, make sure you think about what jobs need to be done first to avoid any unnecessary delays. For example, you wouldnβt want to retile the bathroom before you install the shower or bath.

Demolishing, some of the parts to be demolished have concrete and steel
in Johannesburg
Hi there I hope all is well.
I recently purchased a home in Parktown North, and wanted to get an idea of a cost for some renovations. These are not major, and shouldnβt require much time to complete (hopefully).
Initially the updates are:
- 1 full bathroom update - all re-tile and update the shower, and adding some items such as wood panelling on the walls. Re-tile full floor and shower and re-seal shower drain, new fittings and glass shower wall. Adding barnyard door for toilet.
- Update 2nd bathroom shower - adding glass shower walls where no shower walls are currently
- building a braai at the edge of the stoep
- Building a Boma / fire pit area with mosaic tiling and floating seating
- potentially knocking down 1 wall in the house, which would need a support beam to remain.
This is the basic idea, start date would be anywhere from Sept - November depending when the house transfers to my name.
Was hoping to get a general idea to complete the above items (maybe more maybe less) and depending on materials etc, what kind of cost range we are looking at?
Thanks so much!
