Carpenter

Description  Install kitchen counter tops.

Feedback  An absolute mess! Do not use this carpenter as you will end up loosing money, time and patience. You will have to get a second carpenter to fix everything that he damages. His work is extremely untidy and unprofessional. Do not make the mistake that I made despite his many stories around why he has been given bad reviews by other clients. Firstly, he pitched up 4 days after the agreed date to do the job. When he arrived he proceeded to rush and get the job done and in the process damaged the counter top. James was so dishonest that he did not even tell me that he had damaged the counters, he secretly cut pieces of edging and stuck it onto the counter with silicon. He then put the oven back incorrectly, he also squeezed the sink in whilst cutting the board incorrectly, leaving massive marks and a messy outcome. The counters are still messed with blobs of silicon which makes it look extremely untidy. All the counters are not entirely flush so one seems higher than the other and finally, he did not even put on the edging properly, to the point of where my tenant even got scratched and scraped by the sharp edges.. The job looks like it was done by a novice and someone who does not know a thing about carpentry. It was a rushed and extremely poor job. He also demanded payment before i could investigate his work and went on to make multiple empty promises that he would come back and resolve. He has no intention to remedy and fix his mess as he continues to made excuses and its now gone four days in a row. I have had to get a new carpenter and pay an additional amount of money because of using this dishonest, unethical and unskilled carpenter.

Feedback  he came 4 hours late..... , mainly he came with the wrong color wood , very untidy my wife and i cleaned up after he left we vacumed and swept ..... workmanship was a fail ... the purpose of the tv wall mount is to hide cables James made a huge hole on the counter top and placed my sound bar there thinking i wudnt see the hole , he broke 3 HDMI cables all the shelfs are skew there are screw all over the tv mount looks very unpleasent the LED lights do not work his been promising me for weeks he would come sort this out but no luck he dosnt even take my call i wish i could post pics and screenshots of the messages im so dis hearten i want to take this matter further

Description  Kitchen cupboards

Feedback  This is really bad news. We gave him a job to put kitchen cupboards for us after giving us a quotation for R18000. We give him 12000 deposit. The price was including granite top. He brought the boards and did part of the assembling. He went and never returned. Stayed with half done kitchen with half material. We kept calling until he changed his number. The address on his profile and quotations are false. We had to use a friend to trick him that someone needed his service. We went to the given address which happened to a petrol station. He was told the new client was waiting at the garage and he came only to find that it was us with recovery team. We ended up buying the remaining materials for him to finish the job. The job was done badly, doors not aligned properly, gaps between the wall and the tops, used rubber glue to put edges. Someone places not edged at all. He glued one top edge to hide a gape. Never cleaned after where he worked. We had to spend more money to correct his workmanship. Please never us this guy. He is a thief and we end up using force to get him back which most people can’t.
