Description  BEWARE: He now calls his company J Kok Designs Pty (Ltd) or Johnathan Kok (CT Kitchen Units). He did absolutely nothing! He is 100% a scammer who gives a below the norm quote and then rushes tou to pay a hefty deposit. He took pur money then offered a refund for being "unwell". Since then we are unable to contact him for our refund. He has however kept our deposit money and does not respond to calls, whats apps or emails. He has also changed the name of his company.

Description  He repaired my front door (Only part of the project that he did well), although he never finished the door repair before I was forced to fire him. He was supposed to repair a rotten window, repair a gum-pole balustrade, repair a door jamb, renovate a double wooden door, seal all window sills, rehang/align 4 doors. After 2 days work it became very clear that his team had absolutely no carpentry skills and they in fact made each thing they touched worse than it was before. I had no choice but to fire him and we agreed that he would refund me R1000 of the R3 758.34 deposit I had paid him 3 days before he started on site. He promised to deposit the R1000 by eft into my bank account and despite his promise to make the payment by the 21st Feb, no money has been received a week later and he is now suddenly not contactable, ignoring several WhatsApp messages and not answering telephone calls. He appeared to be an honest and friendly person when I first met him and also for the 2 days he spent on site. - My judgement now after all that has happened, is that he is merely another scam artist and the public should be protected from him. After he left, I personally (70 year old pensioner recovering from Cancer operation and unergoing chemo-therapy))completed all the work he was going to do (except for the renovation of the window frame in 3 days with the assistance of a laborer.

Feedback  Jonathan came to us at a time when we were experiencing issues with our previous job and was left with shody work by the former builders. Knowing this Johnathan came and reassured us that he trust worthy and will work with us to insure quality work. He started off by saying he would cut a percentage of the labor cost to save us more since her had sympathy for our situation. He kept his word and came on the day to do the work and did a good job. We were very pleased. He is also a pleasant respectable person who you can really see has good morals and values and he can be trusted. In the end our staircase was stabilized and fixed with that Johnathan offered a guarantee on his work and can be called for any fixes should something go wrong at no cost. This we were grateful for.
