Description  Painting and tiling.

Feedback  I contracted him to do some painting work for me and he also did some tiling work for me as well. I was not entirely happy with the service because he then contracted someone else to do the printing work. The guy splashed the paint everywhere, he messed the walls, he messed the cupboards and he missed a few spots. When I brought the issue to Simba's intention, he was quite rude about it and he did not rectify the problem.

Description  Simba painted our apartment in Northriding interior walls and ceiling. He also did a great job on tiling my 3 bathrooms

Description  He painted all the walls inside my house, he replaced one door, he painted lounge, bedroom and bathroom ceilings, he also replaced the skirting in one room.

Feedback  Positives: Simba is very knowledgeable about his craft and made valuable suggestions when i initially requested a quote e.g. painting the window frames. Simba was very flexible and patient and willing to accommodate changes in my plans Simba has a great attitude and was always friendly and smiling, despite my consistent questions. Negatives: The job was initially quoted as a 3 day job with 3 painters but took an extra day as Simba only provided2 painters. There were instances when him/his team arrived late and not at the indicated time. Some of the members of his team were very unprofessional. In one instance while painting, one of the painters kept looking at the TV (as I was watching TV in the room being painted ) rather than focusing on the job at hand. In another instance, a gentleman who was replacing the door damaged the new door and was busy covering it up with silicone when i walked in. When I inquired about the damage and insisted that I would not accept a damaged door, the said worker attempted to convince me that the damage would not be visible once the silicone had set and the door had been painted, which turned out to be false - the damage was clearly visible. This attempt at cutting corners was unacceptable. On numerous instances i had to keep repeating instructions. This points to poor attention to detail. On the last 2 days, there was a lot of rushing on the job which resulted in substandard work being performed. For example, there were holes on the wall that i requested be filled before painting. Instead of filing the walls with polyfilla and allowing to set/dry before painting, the holes were filled with silicone and painted immediately so as to complete the job and leave. This further added to the unprofessionalism.

Description  Painted an apartment of around R170m2, sills and boards, changed bulbs.

Feedback  Simba is a true professional, motivated dedicated and efficient. He dealt with issues with the building regarding contractors with equanimity and made space for unforeseen delays. The job was done perfectly, and included repairing a bathroom ceiling. I will request that Simba does other work for me.

Description  Hi painted some walls and cupboards in our house and flat.

Feedback  The paint work was overall done well, except that the skirting boards weren't covered well and had lots of paint on it afterwards that weren't cleaned. Otherwise it was fine.

Feedback  Simba and his team were always punctual, clean, efficient and did not hesitate to go out of their way to keep their customer happy. As the project went on the scope increased from painting to waterproofing and tree-cutting. Despite this, they were able to finish the job within the agreed timeframe and delivered an exceptional quality of work.
