Description  She got her team to design and install laundry and broom cupboard with a granite top.

Feedback  Winnie sells a good service but then wasn't present for any of the actual work. Her workmen ran late, did work that needed to be redone 3 times - after much argument. After me insisting on certain aspects being tidied up or redone, the attitude was combative and then begrudgingly done. Even now I still have a poorly finished job which i have to live with. It took far too long and I won't use Winnie again. She said "give us an opportunity. You won't regret it." I do regret it. I've used Kandua before on other jobs and had excellent results. I'll use Kandua again. Winnie - never again.

Feedback  Joe did a wonderful job for me and he also did work for my brother. We supplied them with materials and they did the work. His prices are so reasonable and they were always on time on each day. They always made sure that the place is always left tidy on a day to day basis, we were very much happy with their service and l recommend them to anyone looking for Joe's services.

Cost  Prices ranged depending on the jobs and the number of people required to complete this within specified timelines. The highest fee charged was R 25,000 in labour for a large team for the renovation of a full cottage and replacement of gutters (see points 3 and 4 above).

Description  I have used Winnie's (also known as Joe) services several times over the course of the last 5 years. Below are a list of projects with the results: 1. Full kitchen installation (2013): A pre-measured and manufactured kitchen was delivered for installation, but the costs for this using the prescribed vendor was ludicrous. I opted to find a carpenter through a plumber who had done all the plumbing and wet works for a bathroom and the kitchen on the same property. He recommended Joe, who immediately set to work, installing a full kitchen (all shells, doors and tops) within two days. Joe also offered to install all appliances as part of the same job, which I welcomed. Joe also cleaned up afterwards, leaving a professional finish. 2. Bedroom built-in cupboards (2013): Joe installed pre-measured and manufactured bedroom cupboards in three bedrooms at a rental property, leaving a neat and professional finish. I had bought more than I eventually decided to have installed in order to create more space in one bedroom, and decided to give this away to the neighbour. After seeing Joe's work, the neighbour asked for Joe to install these at his residence as well. 3. Gutters (2016): With summer approaching and the gutters at an old house needing some attention, I contacted Joe to assist with the purchase of materials, planning and installation of these. Joe was available immediately and we managed to have this completed for an 800m2 house all round with a team he oversaw in a matter of days. Fresh coats of paint were applied, giving the home the lift its appearance in preparation for sale. 4. Ceilings, Doors, Window Installations for cottage (2016): Deciding to convert an old servant's quarters and garage to a modern cottage was easy after consulting Joe. Within a week, Joe got together a team and managed to give a completely new look to an old space. This raised the value of the property which took 3 weeks to sell.

Feedback  Joe is honest and knowledgeable. Looking to expand his business, Joe is always re-investing into his small enterprise. I used to have challenges with transporting Joe and materials, but understand that he now has a small bakkie to get he, a team and materials around. Congrats, Joe!

Feedback  Joe is a very talented carpenter. I run out of words to describe how great Joe is. He responds very quickly and the most important thing that l love about him is that though he has a team that he works with, he is always hands on, he works very hard and he makes it a point that all the instructions are adhered to. I am so much pleased in his work and more importantly, he values his customers and he is honest.I am busy doing house extensions currently and when l complete, Joe is the one who will come and do the wardrobe fittings and some cupboards.My vote goes to him when it comes to carpentry work. His prices are so reasonable and he is open to negotiations. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for his services.

Feedback  Joe has been doing carpentry work for us for the past 5 - 6 years. He is always on time and when he has got delays he does communicate with us. He gives us excellent service hence we use him now and then, we have other people who have used Joe on their private jobs. He always cleans after himself each and every day when he completes the day's task. We have a good working relationship with him and when there is an issue we call him he comes to attend to the problem- he responds to callbacks. I do not know how much other carpenters charge to do door hangings but we (at the complex) are happy with the amount that we pay to Joe. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for his services-l always recommend him to a lot of people who normally calls looking for a service provider and if Joe cannot be able to assist them with the work they request, he is honest enough to tell the client that he is not able to assist and most probably recommend someone who can.
