I asked Adonis to make cupboards for a kitchen in an apartment that I am renting and he was shown the recently done cupboards which I have in the place I am living in. I told him that I wanted the new cupboards to look like those I showed him which he said he could do that for me, no problem. When he was done, they did not have the same backing as those that he was shown. When I asked him about this, I was told that there are “two styles of building cupboards” and that he does not do the style that I showed him (Would have been nice to know this in the first place before he was given the business so that I could have rather used someone else). When the work was done, four of the cupboard doors had deep gouges in them (as well as several long scratches). Two of the damaged doors were seen immediately upon inspection and the other two were only noticed after the initial inspection as they were on the inside of the doors and one door had already been patched up by the contractor using wood filler. Another cupboard panel had a damaged corner that was either damaged upon installation or during transportation to my place. Andonis spent over an hour blaming me for the gouges and didn’t want to replace the panels. In the end some were replaced and I am still sitting with two damaged panels. Two square holes in the one panel was also cut for the pipes of my tenants washing machine (very unprofessional as the contractor did not have a circular drill bit to cut a neat round hole). The holes were not cut in the correct place resulting in the pinching of the washing mashine’s pipes. I had to make the square holes bigger myself to free the two washing machine pipes and also used a circular drill bit to try and make the square hole look more professional. I asked him in the initial quote to include ball bearing runners for four drawers in my kitchen. I received the quote with the description included for the ball bearing runners, only to have him tell me after the work was done that he did not include the pricing for them so he did not install them for me. He also told me that he forgot to quote for some of the hinges (about 14 of them) so I had to go to Gelmar and purchase hinges out of my own pocket. Lastly, he didn’t remove the old kitchen panels/cupboards which meant that I had to arrange for someone else to remove them at my cost. Overall very unhappy and will not be using his services ever again. I was left feeling that he took me for a proper ride on this job. I had to use wood filler elsewhere where the contractor had cut too deep into the shelving in the kitchen cupboards with a saw. Really disappointed!

I have hired James on a number of projects and recently James installed a fitted wardrobe and kitchen cupboards James' prices are very fair and I can vouch for his trustworthiness I left him alone doing the work and nothing ever went wrong. James is punctual, uses his own transport which is more convenient. I will recommend James for cabinet making projects.

I have worked with Sbusiso before and he has done some tiling jobs for me. I'm very much happy with his work he does it exceptionally well accurately with no complaints from clients . I do find him dependable and proficient he is very neat, clean, and hardworking I'm pleased with the quality of his work I will consider him again on another project.

I was in the process of building six cottages (bachelor pads) so I required somebody who can do all the carpentry work for me. Aluwani assembled cupboards, wardrobes, and kitchen units for all the cottages. Aluwani was always on time, materials were delivered on time, he advised me to put in water-resistant shelf’s so that my cupboards don’t absorb water. The prices were reasonable so I am happy with Aluwani’s work.

He always calls me to let me know when he is on his way, and explains every part of the job as it is happening.
