Signs You Need A geyser Repair Or Replacement
- Hard water deposits - these hard water deposits result in a lack of hot water or water not getting hot enough. Hard water deposits build up over time and sit at bottom of the geyser which reduces its capacity to generate enough heat to heat the water.
- Calcium deposits - the same way hard water deposit interfere with your geysers ability to generate hot water, calcium deposits on your heating element can cause it to heat less efficiently causing you to run out of hot water sooner.
- A dripping overflow pipe - an occasional drip from the overflow pipe is completely normal. The reason for this is because the water is constantly being heated and cooled and any unwanted water under pressure needs to be released. But, if you notice a steady drip there is most likely a problem with your geyser.
- Rust water β if you notice small pieces of rust in the water, there is most likely rust inside the geyser. The problem with rust or corrosion is that once it starts it cannot be reversed. It is only a matter of time before the rust damages the tank, making it leak. If you start to see rust particles then you wonβt be able to repair the geyser, you will have to replace it.
