Description  Renovated an outside room and bathroom. Work included knocking out walls, building a doorway up and plastering, installing windows door and ceiling, redoing the plumbing, installing shower toilet and basin, installing DB board and laying electricity, tiling the floors and entire bathroom, replacing outside gulley. Materials not included.

Feedback  Whilst the end result was good, there were some issues. Jake did not oversee his team and we had to often point out issues. His material estimates were way under what was needed, so your costs were much higher than original estimate. Time needed also escalated from 3 weeks to 7 weeks. Had to get Jake out afterwards as bathroom was flooding due to paving not having been put back properly. Site not left properly clean afterwards.

Renovator

Description  He helped fix medium sized hole in a drywall ceiling

Feedback  He didn't need to be managed. He was good with his job I am happy with the job he did.

Cost  About R6000

Description  This contractor was supposed to undertake some renovation and refurbishment work in my apartment. Due to some tenant problems, I deferred the job and requested a refund of my deposit to which the contractor agreed in writing to pay back. Almost 8 months later and still have not had my deposit paid back to me. The contractor is now unreachable and is ignoring phone calls, emails and has ignored a letter of demand etc.

Feedback  As described above, no work was ever completed and it was agreed in writing that my deposit would be paid back to me which to date has not happened. It is a completely ridiculous situation.

Description  Jake has come to the rescue of this damsel in distress more times than I can count. From planned jobs (painting, bathroom renovation) to coming over when the geyser burst, the ceiling leaked, a tenant had a fire, or the garage was broken into, he has consistently delivered a friendly and professional service. His team are polite, tidy and trustworthy.

Feedback  There are not many people I would let into my home when I'm not there, but Jake and his team have proved to be the exception.

Description  He fully renovated two bathrooms, rhinolited various ceilings, installed downlights and installed laminate flooring.

Feedback  Jake and his team did various renovation tasks in our house. Appart from a few minor unforeseen hiccups (which he resolved without any issues) we were very happy with the work he did. We found him and his team to be trustworthy, responsive to any issues, tidy (our house was always clean when we got home), affodable and attentive to detail. We will definitely use him again in the future.

Description  He build our offices, from bringing down walls to re-building offices.

Feedback  Jake did a lot of projects for me. He knows his job very well but he needs to improve on time keeping and he must avail himself when ever he is needed. He is a great service provider. If he improves on time, l will definitely recommend him.

Feedback  I met Jake through a company called Fix My Life. I gave him a small project to do first, he did the job efficiently and within my budget. From the small project l gave to him, he proved to me that he has the capacity to do the bigger project efficiently. I then gave him the green light to renovate my whole house. He did all the renovations which included but not limited to: electrical, plumbing etc. He is a great guy who does a great job. I have recommended him already and will continue recommending him.

Feedback  I own properties and Jake has done a lot of work for me. He is trustworthy, reliable and tidy. Like any other service provider we have had some issues but Jake managed to sort out everything to my satisfactory. His prices are reasonable and his work is good. I recommend him.

Feedback  I have known Jake for a longtime now. He has done a lot of work for me. He is a professional service provider. I have never had any complains about his workmanship nor l have never had any complains from clients regarding his work. He is not a chance taker but he knows his job very well. I do not have any reason not to recommend him highly because he has never let me down.
