Description  He was hired to fix my pool pump and back wash pipe. However, it took him over 3 weeks to finish the job and he still has not completed it. Every time he came he finds a new problem and the cost just escalated. Then it was the light, a valve, my timer and I just paid and replaced, but then it was like he either breaks it or makes some excuse to come back. He is always late, and brings with him loads of people to just stand around.

Feedback  I find him dishonest, but he knows what he is doing and understands pools. Always late and don’t keep his promises. He has not completed my work and I now have unfinished pool but he received my money. I would suggest that he comes to fix one thing and then pay him. No deposit given and he should advise the time taken for the job and finish it, before more work is drawn from you. Avoid it if you can.

Feedback  I hired Shane (UniPools) to install a colour changing LED light and to replace a broken endflow piece in the pool. His initial quote seemed acceptable. Shane soon suggested to also change the sand in the filter, and diagnosed a problem with the wiring of my DB box, and with the Pump Selector, convincing me to fix the one, and replace the other. But Uni Pools workers turned out to be incompetent, forgetting to glue parts of the Selector that later leaked, so they had to take apart the installation, and start over. In the end, they took more than 2 weeks to complete the job, standing me up at least half a dozen times on the way, and left me with an dysfunctional system, because they installed a Pool pump selector that is the wrong type for the filter. It needs to be replaced again, at a cost of ca. R4000. Even the LED light that was installed was the wrong one, single colour instead of multi-colour. The company I called afterwards to clean up Shane's mess said replacement of my original selector was unnecessary to begin with, and that I was overcharged. UniPool conned me, they are dishonest, incompetent, and unreliable. Avoid like the plague.

Feedback  Shane did not complete his job, i had to get someone else to fix the mess he cost even though he was fully paid. I gave him a chance to come fix his mess, unfortunetely he never heed the call. I will never recommend him to any person, and it is my submission that he is causing a great damage to your image. I wonder if i will consider using your services in future.
