Tilers report 1 Tiles not aligned, elevated ridges and hollow sound (59 full tiles) 2 Skirting in 2 bedrooms incomplete 3 Kitchen Skirting not installed 4 Grout Missing (27 tiles) 5 Tiles with opposing veins to flow on sides and front entrance (97 affected pieces)

Feedback  I cannot recommend Progress enough. He and his team have done plastering, ceilings and tiling in my house. He goes above and beyond and is very reasonable with his pricing.

Feedback  He fixed my door and a lock. He was quick and efficient. He came on time and he was good at his work. He charged me a good price and I don't have any complaints in regard to his work. He is reliable and I can recommend him.

Description  Laid screed and tiling

Feedback  Started well, then went pear shaped. Poorly laid tiles were blamed on floor surface, but even the bedrooms and lounge that he applied screed and therefore he was responsible had issues. After the screed he inflated his cost for surface removal (tiled areas) in preparation for tiling sqm by 19% and even included the areas he laid screed. A measurement showed this up, during measuring I also spotted one of his workers insert his shoe under the tape measure and lift it thereby increasing the distance, incidentally this was in the bathroom which he later stated i mentioned should not be included until I showed him the whattapp message specifically mentioning they were included. Tiles were laid with obvious lips, skew, his workers also walked over newly laid tiles shifting them . He was most defensive when issues were raised, accepting no responsibility other than appearing to reluctantly fix items, one particular tile was laid 4 times before getting it right, another around a door area looked as if someone had used a pliers to snip it as it had jagged edges. Grouting was not complete and in some areas over use. My angle grinder was used and when i found it the grinder was in one of the rooms, the safety guard which had been removed I found a few days later lying outside. Cement finger marks were left on walls, property was damaged, a dozen beers I had mysteriously disappeared, some items of clothing were used to wipe floors and left lying around. Punctuality was also an issue, he would arrive any time from 8am to 2pm,

Feedback  This is the third time I am using Progress. We have an upmarket lifetyle shop and we are pedantic about how things need to be. The building we are in is a very old building with drywall in certain areas and skew walls. This all and all make Progress's work really tough. He was able to hang very heavy clothing rails on drywall- better than 3 other handymen we got to do it previously (one of them was a professional shop fitter). He thinks outside the box and is able to make suggestions and solve problems. He was able to hang pictures and immediately caught on how we want them and was able to do it accordingly. We had a major problem with wallpaper and we had a launch and he painted the wall in short notice perfectly. We had wood hangers from suppliers that were incorrect, he managed to sand 30 wood hanger and they looked perfect.

Description  Progress and his team were really great! They removed cupboards and repaired walls, painted interior, installed new doors, replaced cornices, built a drainage system and build a flower wall outside. He will also be doing plumbing for us when the new kitchen is installed. They show up really early and work all day until 5pm. They are friendly and trustworthy. He gives great advice. We will definately use Progress again for our future projects.

Description  He removed a shower and replaced it with a bathtub. The space required re-plumbing and re-tiling. .

Feedback  He do the job really well and was responsive when the scope of work changed. When there was a leak on the toilet he installed he came in to fix it. He also cane accross as well informed and creative about the work that needed to be done, which I appreciated.

Feedback  First 2 days were impressive. Next couple days were disgusting even after we helped clean. Bongani did not follow through with what was asked and expected from the work that had to be done. He confirmed that drainage would be done and still 4 weeks later nothing. Full of empty promises. I am still waiting for my final invoice with guarantee of work that I was promised 2 weeks ago and that it was sent. No proof of sending as asked for. The front wall was built skew and in the neighbours yard. Paving was pulled out and not put back. All rubble was left after walls was built. As a builder he thought it was not part of the agreement that he should have cleaned. He was paid in full for poor service. Would not recommend him to anyone for future reference. Disappointed.
