Types Of Built In Cupboards
- Full carcase built-Ii cupboards - these built-in cupboards are the most common. They have a full base, top, two sides and back panel. Full carcase built-in cupboards are ideal for any regular space, for example, a standard bedroom or kitchen where there arenβt any irregular spaces, sloping ceilings or other obstructions. They are also very sturdy and if built well, will last a long time.
- Sliding door built-in cupboards - these built-in cupboards take up less space than full carcass built-in cupboards, helping homeowners save space and also create the illusion of a more spacious room. They are also available in a variety of materials and colours to fit in with any room.
- Frame construction built-in cupboards - unline the other two types of BICs, these built-in cupboards have no ceiling and no sides. They are designed and built specifically to fit irregular spaces. They are most commonly built on site and attached to walls and ceilings of a specific space eliminating the need for doors and side panels. These BICs are ideally suited to awkward areas or fitted under sloping ceilings.
