Vetted waterproofing specialists in Fourways. Book now.

Most waterproofing in Fourways is priced per m². A liquid membrane system runs about R180 to R350 per m² and torch-on about R250 to R450 per m², materials included. Stripping failed layers, fixing the screed or adding a reflective silver coat is extra, and small leak repairs usually carry a minimum call-out.

In most sectional title schemes the roof is common property, so the body corporate is responsible for waterproofing and repairs. Report leaks to the managing agent in writing. If you own a top-floor unit with an exclusive-use roof terrace, check the rules, as it may be your cost.

Light maintenance traffic is fine on most systems, but regular foot traffic, furniture or equipment needs a trafficable finish or protective pavers. Solar panel installers and aircon technicians are common culprits for punctures, so ask them to protect the membrane. Tell your specialist how the roof will be used before they quote.

Pitched tiled roofs shed water by design, so they rarely need a full membrane, but flashings, valleys and ridge joints often do need sealing. Flat concrete roofs, balconies and parapets are where proper waterproofing systems matter most. A specialist will tell you which parts are the actual risk.
