Vetted waterproofing specialists in Kempton Park. Book now.

Budget around R180 to R350 per m² for a liquid membrane and R250 to R450 per m² for torch-on in Kempton Park, with materials included. The price climbs if old waterproofing has to be stripped or the screed needs falls built in. Ask for the labour, materials and guarantee period on the quote.

East Rand hailstorms can bruise and puncture older membranes, especially torch-on that has gone brittle in the sun. After a big storm, check the roof or ask a specialist for a quick inspection. Many home insurers cover storm damage, so take photos before any repairs.

Not always. A sound old layer can sometimes be cleaned, primed and overlaid, which saves time and disposal costs. If it is blistered, lifting or trapping moisture, it must come off, or the new system will fail with it. Ask the specialist to explain which applies to your roof.

Light maintenance traffic is fine on most systems, but regular foot traffic, furniture or equipment needs a trafficable finish or protective pavers. Solar panel installers and aircon technicians are common culprits for punctures, so ask them to protect the membrane. Tell your specialist how the roof will be used before they quote.
